Raw material is fed onto the vibrating table through an inlet located on the middle of the table. The table is covered with a wire mesh which allows for the passage of equally distributed air. The product is thus layered according to its specific weight and through the vibration of the table the heavy material flows to the higher discharge while the light material flows to the lower discharge. This allows for optimal separation of heavy materials such as stones, metals, glass and other heavy items.

The newly designed louvers guide the product to be sorted in the inlet zone in the right direction at an early phase. The interaction between the louvers and the new design of the secondary zone provide for the highest sorting quality and efficiency. Additionally, the airflow moves through an innovative iris diaphragm upon entry, which is precisely adjusted and controlled. The iris ensures a homogenous airflow and prevents an uneven distribution or too little air on the table.

The specially designed mass adjustment system drastically reduces vibration of the table frame by decoupling from the machine frame. The almost vibration free operation leads to less stress on the foundation which in turn saves costs. Aspiration is optional. The touch panel operation simplifies operating of the sorting machine. Angle and airflow are completely electrically set and saved.

The PETKUS Gravity Separator G 20 Mid-Ex is equipped with all the standard technology that the entire PETKUS G-Series line has to offer. However, in the case of the G 20, the last third of the table surface has been modified. The new table lining has been designed as a zig-zag shaped ribbed construction, which increases the lifting force and diverts airflow to sort the heavy goods more precisely from the light. The standard PETKUS Gravity Separators G 20 and G 40 can be easily modified and upgraded with the “Mid-Ex” deck. The new PETKUS G 20 mid-ex Gravity Separators can be operated or technically supported from any location and with any tablet or smart-phone via Wi-Fi connection thanks to the built-in PETKUS Smart Service feature.
